Tata recently launched the new Tata Nexon EV Max in India at a starting price of Rs 17.74 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This long-range Tata Nexon EV not only gets a larger battery pack but in addition to this also comes with an AC fast charger and a higher top speed.   1. Four Variants

The new Tata Nexon EV Max is available in four trim options – Max XZ+, Max XZ+ Fast Charger, Max XZ+ Lux, and Max XZ+ Fast Charger. For those wondering, the fast charger variants will be offered with a 7.2 kW AC fast charger while those opting for the standard iterations will get a 3.3kW charger.

This new iteration of the Tata Nexon EV gets a larger 40.5kWh battery pack that now replaced the older 30kWh unit. With the larger battery pack, the Nexon EV now boasts a claimed range of 437 km on a single charge. It is worth noting that the boot space remains unchanged despite a larger battery pack.

With this update, the Tata Nexon EV Max gets a claimed peak power and torque output of 143 hp and 250 Nm respectively. The standard Nexon EV on the other hand boasts 129 hp and 245 Nm of peak torque output. The brand claims a 0-100 kmph timing of under 9 secs. In addition to this, the Indian carmaker has also equipped the Tata Nexon EV Max with a four-wheel disc brake setup.

The Nexon EV Max also gets a number of new features and updated to attract new buyers. For starters, this electric SUV is now available with an electronic parking brake, air purifier, cooled seats, illuminated gear knob, and other safety features like ESP and hill-hold assist. In addition to this, the new Nexon EV long-range also gets smartwatch integration and cruise control. The Indian carmaker is also offering other updated features like ZConnect 2.0, multi-mode regen modes with four regen levels for braking. An auto brake lamp function is also on offer to warn the road users behind once a certain level of regen is reached.

Tata is offering a standard warranty of 8 years/1,60,000 km for the battery and motor in addition to the standard warranty. Tata is also offering an exclusive exterior colour shade with this iteration of the Nexon EV long-range, the Intensi-teal colour shade. The interiors too get an unique being interior theme that is not available with other iterations of the Nexon.
