Toyota Fortuner GR Sport Price In India Starts From Rs 48.3 Lakh – Details

The Toyota Fortuner GR Sport is Rs 3.8 lakh more expensive when compared to the Toyota Legender and boasts a long list of mechanical and cosmetic updates.

The new Toyota Fortuner GR Sport was recently spied in the showrooms in the country and is the new range-topping variant in the Fortuner line-up in India. Being the most expensive Toyota Fortuner variant on sale in the country, the Fortuner GR Sport not only gets a number of cosmetic updates but in addition to this, also comes with a long list of mechanical changes. The Toyota Fortuner GR Sport price in India starts from Rs 48.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Here are all the details that we know so far about this new SUV from Toyota in India.

For starters, the Toyota Fortuner GR Sport gets a new front bumper with a re-designed air dam, new fog lamp housings, and GR badging. In addition to this, it also gets dark-finished dual-cut alloy wheels, an updated rear bumper and a body-colour trim running between the LED tail-lamps. We also see the same GR logo at the rear.

Inside, the SUV gets a long list of updates. For starters, it gets black upholstery with suede inserts and red stitching. We also get GR logos on the headrest. The trim elements of the centre console are different and the steering wheel too gets the same GR logo. On the features front, the Fortuner GR Sport gets dual-zone automatic climate control, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, JBL audio system, gesture-controlled tailgate, stability control, 7 airbags, traction control, etc.

A significant update comes in the form of the revised suspension setup and a standard four-wheel-drive system. To start with, the suspension has been re-tuned by Grazo Racing and we expect the car to offer a more planted and stable ride when compared to the standard models. The SUV will however continue to be offered with a 2.8-L diesel motor that churns out 201 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque output. This engine will come mated to a six-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox that channels power to all four wheels via the standard four-wheel-drive system.
