Hyundai launched the 2020 Hyundai Verna BS6 Facelift in the Indian market with a starting price of INR 9.30 lakh.
The 2020 Hyundai Verna Facelift BS6 has been launched by the Korean carmaker. The new 2020 Verna is available in five variants- S, S+, SX, SX(O) and SX (O) Turbo. The facelifted car gets mechanical as well as styling updates.
The exterior updates include a new, larger signature-style cascading chrome grille and new LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. The other upgrades include a new front bumper, new diamond cut-ally wheels, new ORVMs and a new rear bumper. At the rear, apart from the new bumper the car gets redesigned led headlamps and redesigned boot lid. The car gets six colour options- Fiery Red, Titan Grey, Starry Night, Typhoon Silver, polar white and phantom black.
The 2020 Hyundai Verna Facelift BS6 comes with three engine options which include a 1.5-litre MPi petrol, 1.0 Kappa Turbo GDI petrol and 1.5-Litre U2 CRDi diesel. The 1.5-Litre diesel engine delivers 113 BHP and 250 NM of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed MT or AT. The 1.5-Litre MPi petrol engine on the other hand delivers 113 BHP and 144 NM of torque while the 1.0-Litre Turbo petrol is sufficient to churn out 118 BHP and 172 NM of torque. The petrol engines can be had with a 6-speed MT or iVT automatic gearbox while the turbo petrol engine is equipped with a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
From the inside, the car gets refreshed interiors and gets a dual-tone black-beige scheme while the turbo variants get an all-black cabin with red stitches on the upholstery. The updated features include a digital cluster with colour TFT, a multi-function steering wheel, front ventilated seats, wireless phone charger and eco coating. Other features include a sunroof, rear USB charging and seat height adjustment.
