Ford has launched the upgraded 2020 Ford Aspire and Ford Figo with BS6 compliant engine.The new
cars now get a new alloy wheel design while sync 3 has now been disconnected from the line-up.
With the BS6 norms to be implemented soon, all the companies are ensuring that they update their line-up with BS6 complaint vehicles. Busy in a similar process, Ford too is ensuring that all their products meet the BS6 implementation deadline and has recently launched the 2020 Ford Figo and Figo Aspire with BS6 complaint engines. The cars were recently spotted at a dealership and AutoHunters bring you this information before anyone else.
The 2020 new Ford Figo and the Figo Aspire BS6 currently comes with 2 engine options which include the company’s latest 1.2-Litre Dragon series petrol engine which makes 96 PS @ 6500 rpm and 120 NM @ 4250 rpm while the second engine is the company’s tried and tested 1.5-Litre TDCi diesel engine which makes 100 PS @ 3750 rpm and 215 NM @ 1750-3000 rpm. While the official claimed fuel efficiency is not available yet, we know that both these engines will be mated to a 5-speed MT. As of now, no automatic transmission will be available with the car.
The updated car gets a new alloy wheel design which looks attractive. The 2020 Ford Figo BS6 will also get 15 inch alloy wheels. Apart from this, the Sync 3 system will no longer be available in any of the variants of the Ford Aspire. There are no other exterior or interior modifications in the car.
The prices of the updated models are not available yet but we do expect a slight increase of around INR 10,000 in petrol models and INR 15-20,000 in diesel models. The Ford Aspire BS6 will directly compete against MS Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor and Hyundai Aura while the Figo BS6 will compete against Grand i10 Nios, MS Swift and Tata Tigor.
2020 new Ford Figo Aspire and Ford Figo BS6 Launched
- The BS6 Figo and Aspire gets only two engine options in the form of 1.2-L Dragon series and 1.5-L TDCI engines.
- There has been no change in the output from either of the engines.
- The cars now get an updated alloy wheel design while SYNC 3 is discontinued from the line-up
