Mahindra Bolero BS6 facelift launched; Price starting from INR 7.76 lakh

Mahindra and Mahindra recently launched the 2020 Mahindra Bolero BS6 Facelift. The Bolero BS6 apart from the updated engine now gets refreshed styling and refreshed interiors. It is worth nothing that the BS6 version of the Bolero is priced similar to the outgoing, BS4 model. The updated BS6 Bolero complies with the upcoming crash-test norms.

The updates for the 2020 Bolero BS6 incorporate new front styling including new bumper, grille, and headlamps. While the progressions to the Bolero’s outside may look restorative, what’s significant is that Mahindra’s most established model in India presently follows the new crash test standards that were presented toward the end of last year. Furthermore, the BS6 Bolero additionally consents with the pedestrian norms that will be implemented in October. The refreshed Bolero turns into the first vehicle sold in Quite a while with metal bumpers to clear the upcoming pedestrian norms. While a large portion of the highlights on the new Bolero continue as before, we can affirm that higher variatnts presently accompany static bowing headlamps as standard.

Under the hood, the Bolero BS6 Facelilft gets 1.5 litre three-cylinder diesel mHawk75 engine which delivers 75hp. The engine is mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Bolero BS6 Facelift will not have the four-wheel-drive variant. The car also gets updated variant nomenclature and is now sold in three variants – the lower-spec B4, the mid-spec B6, and the top-spec B6(O). Prices for the mid-spec Bolero B6 is priced at INR 8.43 lakh, while the top-spec B6 (O) costs INR 8.78 lakh.

The Bolero has been a predictable solid dealer for the Mahindra brand. Between April 2019 and January 2020, the company sold a sum of 52,828 units of the Bolero, with translates to roughly 5,289 units per month. The Mahindra Bolero was presented in the Indian market in 2000 and with the recent BS6 update, the model isn’t relied upon to see a total age change at any point in the near future.
