The Renault Kiger rival Nissan Magnite is one of the most affordable compact SUVs in the Indian market.

The Nissan Magnite in India is available with two engine options – 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.0L NA petrol. Both these engines boast impressive fuel economy figures but it is the turbo that also offers great performance and better practicality. While we reviewed this iteration of the Nissan Magnite earlier (Check Detailed Review Here), here is an extensive 200km long real-life Nissan Magnite mileage test that you should check out. Before we begin, do not forget to join our exclusive AutoHunters India’s Auto Enthusiasts Whatsapp Group.

The 1.0L turbo petrol engine powering the Nissan Magnite churns out 100PS and 160Nm (152Nm/CVT) of peak torque. The claimed Nissan Magnite mileage figures stand at:

  • Nissan Magnite NA Manual – 18.75kmpl
  • Nissan Magnite Turbo Manual – 20kmpl
  • Nissan Magnite Turbo CVT – 17.7kmpl

Nissan Magnite Mileage Test – 1.0L Turbo Manual

In our mileage test, we drove the car for 200km with an aim to extract maximum fuel economy from the Magnite in real-life usage conditions. While the initial stage was slow, the speeds did pick up as we moved out of Delhi, leaving the traffic behind. Out on the highway, with average speeds ranging from 70-90kmph, we did cover up the ground at an impressive pace. Out on the highway, the Magnite not only impressed me with its performance, but the in-cabin experience too was great. Having said this, the LED headlights were extremely effective and made night driving stress-free and easy.

At the end of the trip, after travelling a total distance of 202.7km, we refilled the Magnite. The car consumed 8.08L of total petrol, thus returning a genuine measured fuel economy of 25.086kmpl. I was extremely pleased with the overall fuel economy delivered by the Magnite considering the fact that we were 3 people on board while the AC too was on during the entire journey.
