The Hyundai Santro is not only the most affordable car in the brand’s lineup but is also the cheapest Hyundai CNG car in India.

Hyundai recently announced some significant updates in its Indian portfolio after assessing the Indian market extensively. For starters, the Korean carmaker has discontinued all the variants of the Hyundai Santro in India except for the Hyundai Santo Sportz CNG variant. In addition to this, the diesel variants of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and the Hyundai Aura too have been discontinued. Following this move, the Hyundai Santro became the only CNG car in India to not have a pure-petrol powertrain option for the buyers. Here are all the details that you should know.

Hyundai Santro 2022 Discontinued Variants

A total of six variants of the 2022 Hyundai Santro were discontinued from the Indian market. These include the Era Executive, Magna, Sportz, Sportz AMT, Sportz Executive CNG, and Asta. The Hyundai Santro is now available only with a single trim option – the 2022 Hyundai Santro Sportz CNG. Small hatchbacks with factory-fitted CNG kits have a strong demand in India and the Korean carmaker is utilising it as an opportunity to offer maximum choice to the buyers with its extensive CNG portfolio.
