Tata Punch Vs Citroen C3 – Engine and Gearbox
The Citroen C3 is expected to be offered with two engine options – 1.2L NA petrol and 1.2L turbo petrol. The naturally aspirated unit will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox while the turbo will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox. No automatic gearboxes are on offer for the buyers.

The Tata Punch is only available with a 1.2L Revotron naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine that churns out 86hp and 113Nm of peak torque output. This engine in India is available with a 5-speed manual or with a 5-speed AMT transmission option. No turbocharged iteration is on sale currently but we do expect Tata to launch the Punch Turbo and Punch CNG in India in the coming months.

Unlike its rivals, the Citroen C3 boasts an elegant and premium design language that looks different and fresh. The Citroen C3 is expected to be offered with only two variant options in India. In addition to this, as mentioned above, the Citroen C3 will be available with two engine options. The Tata Punch on the other hand is available in four trim options – Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. In addition to this, a number of add-on packs are also available with the Punch. While the Citroen C3 will offer a premium and a comfortable package to the buyers, the Tata Punch on the other hand offers a practical and well-suited package to the buyers.
