All-New 2023 Hyundai Verna Launch Tomorrow – Expected Price, Features, & More!

The new 2023 Hyundai Verna will be offered better safety features, updated powertrain options and many segment-first features

Hyundai is all set to launch the new Verna in the Indian market tomorrow, i.e. 21st March 2023. The Korean carmaker earlier teased this upcoming new-gen iteration of its premium sedan and will be positioning it as a direct rival to the Honda City, VW Virtus and the Skoda Slavia in India. While the all-new 2023 Hyundai Verna next-gen will launch in India tomorrow, here are all the details you should know about this upcoming sedan in India.

2023 Hyundai Verna Launch On March 21st

For starters, the new Verna is likely to be offered in four trim options – EX, S, SX, and SX(O). Furthermore, nine colours of the Verna will be on offer for the buyers including three new all-new colour shades – Abyss Black, Atlas White and Tellurian Brown. If reports are to be believed, this new version of the Verna will be priced from Rs 10.5-11.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the entry-level trim options while the range-topping variants might be priced in the range of Rs 17-19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is also worth noting that the bookings for the new Verna are open for a token amount of Rs 25,000.

For those wondering, the new Hyundai Verna will be offered with two engine options – 1.5L NA Petrol and 1.5L Turbo Petrol. While the NA petrol delivers a peak power output of 113 bhp and a maximum torque of 114 Nm, the turbo petrol on the other hand will deliver close to 160 hp and a maximum torque of 253 Nm. Needless to say, both these engines will deliver strong performance and will be offered with both manual as well as automatic gearbox options. Unlike before, the Verna will not be offered with any diesel powertrain option.

In addition to this, the new Verna will also be offered with many new features including ADAS safety suite, 6 airbags, hill start assist, electronic stability control (ESC), TMPS, electronic parking brake, headlamp escort function, automatic headlamps, and more. The ADas safety suite will comprise of features like Blind spot collision avoidance assist, Forward collision warning, Lane keep assist, Blind spot collision warning, Lane departure warning, Lane following assist, Driver attention warning, High beam assist, Leading vehicle departure alert and Rear cross traffic collision avoidance assist.

The new Verna has also grown in size when compared to the outgoing version and measures 4535 mm in length, 1765 mm in width, and 1475 mm in height. The wheelbase on the other hand is measured at 2670 mm. The styling updates include a completely redesigned front fascia which is largely dominated by a large front grille, LED headlights, LED DRL, and more.

Inside, you will be offered with a premium dashboard layout and a long features-list. In addition to a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the new Verna will be offered with an all-digital instrument console, wireless charging pad, automatic climate control, ventilated and heated front seats, push-button starts, connected car tech, an 8-speaker audio system, and more. In all, the Verna will not only be a handsome-looking sedan, but will also impress the buyers with its performance, premium and comfortable cabin, and a long features list.
