Maruti Alto K10 Discontinued In India

The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has been discontinued in India. The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso replaces the K10 in the company’s lineup.

First launched in 2010, the Alto K10 remains one of the highest selling cars in the company’s lineup. The current version of the Alto K10 is powered by a BS4 complaint 1.0-Litre K10B engine which develops 67 PS @ 6000 RPM and 90 NM @ 3500 RPM. The K10 is available with a 5-Speed MT and a 5-Speed AMT.

The Maruti Alto K10 received a major facelift in 2014 with which the company introduced AMT gearbox and an updated design. Recently, the Alto K10 received its 2019 update which included mandatory safety equipment such as ABS with EBD, high-speed alert system and driver and co-driver seat belt reminder.

The company also offers factory fitted CNG Kit in the Alto K10 which remains a gross seller for the company. As far as reports are to believed, the dealers across the country have stopped bookings for the Alto K10 as Maruti Suzuki will not be upgrading the Alto K10 to meet the BS6 emission norms.

The newly launched Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will replace the Alto K10 in the company’s lineup. The Alto K10’s prices start at Rs. 3.70 lakhs (ex-showroom, delhi) and extend up to Rs. 4.50 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the S-Presso is priced in the range of Rs. 3.71-4.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
