TVS recently launched the BS6 Complaint 2020 TVS Apache RTR 180 BS6. The bike is priced at INR 1.01 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
TVS has finally updated the RTR 180 on its website and has also listed the prices for the updated, TVS Apache RTR 180 BS6. Priced at INR 1.01 Lakh, the bike is Rs 6,700 more expensive than the outgoing BS4 models.
Since the bike was updated in 2018 and received changes such as the addition of a new colour scheme, different seat material, white back-lit speedometer and a redesigned crash guard, we do not expect it to get any significant changes in design. The new RTR 180 also gets Glide Through Technology (GTT) which prevents the bike from stalling. GTT also helps the bike to crawl at a set speed without acceleration input by the driver.
The company is yet to release the official images of the 2020 Apache RTR 180 BS6 and the official information about the powerful out figures are still not known. The outgoing version of the bike was powered by a 177.4 cc, two-valve, air-cooled engine which made 16.6 hp and 15.5 Nm of torque.
We also expect the bike to remain mechanically identically to the outgoing version which also gets a single-channel ABS system. The bike gets a double cradle frame, telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers.
The RTR 180 gets a VFM price tag and is one of the best cycles in the segment. The updated RTR 180 competes against its rivals such as Suzuki Gixxer and the Yamaha FZ V3.0.
