Electric scooters are now rapidly gaining popularity in the country and are now slowly replacing the mainstream ICE two-wheelers in the market. Following the trend, Suzuki is also gearing up to launch its first electric scooter in the country and officially revealed many important details including the upcoming Suzuki Burgman e-scooter range, specifications, design details, and more. This will make Suzuki one of the only mainstream two-wheeler brands in the country after Hero MotoCorp, TVS, and Bajaj to launch their electric portfolio in India.

Suzuki Burgman Electric Scooter Range Revealed

Suzuki recently shared the official specification sheet and design details of the upcoming Suzuki Burgman electric scooter in India including the official range and battery details. For starters, the new Burgman electric scooter claimed range stands at 44km when ridden at a steady speed of 60kmph on a flat surface. The production-ready version might boast a much higher range. The brand is yet to share the capacity of the swappable lithium-ion battery.

It is also worth noting the fact that the battery pack of the Suzuki Burgman electric scooter could be swapped out and recharged at the Honda Mobile Power Pack e:swapping stations. Honda is also working on launching two new electric scooters in the country, one of which will have a swappable battery pack.

Powering the new Suzuki Burgman will be a 4kW motor which gets a claimed peak torque output of 18 Nm. This AC synchronous motor will draw power from a swappable lithium-ion battery. Having said this, the rivals like TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak also offer similar performance. Other electric scooters like Ola S1 Pro and Ather 450X on the other hand offer a stronger performance.

For those wondering, the new 2024 Suzuki Burgman electric scooter will weigh around 147kg, making it one of the heaviest scooters in the country. On the other hand, it will measure 1825mm in length, 765mm in width, and 1140mm in height while the seat height is measured at 780mm. The brand will also be testing eight units of the Burgman electric scooter in Tokyo from April to June this year. More details will soon be shared by the brand ahead of the official launch in the country.
