The new Nexon EV Dark edition is available in the top two variants – XZ+ and the XZ+ Lux. Prices start at Rs 15.99 lakh or about Rs 43,000 more than the Nexon EV XZ+.
The Tata Nexon EV Dark Edition follows the same path as the other dark edition offerings from the company. No mechanical changes are seen with the EV it will still be powered by a front-mounted electric motor delivering 129hp. The motor is paired with a 30.2kWh battery that gives the compact SUV a claimed range of 312km on a single charge.
The Exterior
The very basic difference between the Nexon EV and the regular Nexon is that the EV distinguishes itself with blue highlights in the fog lamp enclosure, EV badge on the grille, and partial blue detail on the Tri-Arrow pattern in the lower grille on the bumper. The Nexon EV Dark edition is available in Midnight Black exterior color option. The car shares its headlight unit with the regular Nexon, additionally, the Nexon EV gets a Satin Black humanity line to further enhance the overall theme.
Moving onto the side profile of the car, the Nexon EV gets a Satin Black beltline to distinguish itself from the regular Nexon which features a Sonic Silver beltline. Moreover, the car shares the 16-inch Charcoal Grey alloy wheels with the regular ICE version. This car also gets a blue-colored EV badging on the front doors and a ‘Dark’ mascot on the fenders. Talking about the rear, the car gets the matte black Nexon badging on the boot lid and a blue-colored EV badge. Moreover, to highlight the EV character, the boot lid also features the Ziptron badge.

The Inside
There is nothing much to distinguish between the interior of the regular Nexon and the Nexon EV, they have got a similar interior layout. However, the EV gets a blue insert around the AC vents, center console, and around the instrument cluster to differentiate it from the regular model. The vehicle gets a dark-themed glossy piano black dashboard with a Tri-Arrow design. The multi-function leatherette wrapped steering wheel features the EV blue highlight stitches. The dashboard is adorned by a Harman touchscreen infotainment system with 35 connected car features by Tata Motors ZConnect.
The seats too follow the blacked-out theme, gets a dark-themed leatherette upholstery with Tri-Arrow perforations on door trims and ‘Dark’ embroidery on the front headrests. The vehicle is featured with an analogue speedometer and a partially digital MID display.

The Tata Nexon EV is slightly lower as compared to its competitors, namely the Hyundai Kona EV, MG ZS EV. The top-spec, XZ+ Lux Dark edition variant attracts a premium of Rs 29,000, while the XZ+ Dark edition variant of the Nexon EV attracts a premium of Rs 43,000 over the regular variant.
