2020 Hyundai Venue BS6 price starts at INR 6.70 lakh

Hyundai has recently launched 2020 Hyundai Venue BS6 with updated features and BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines. The Hyundai Venue competes in the Sub-4m Compact SUV segment and rivals against the likes of Ford EcoSport, MS Brezza, Honda WR-V and the Tata Nexon.

Apart from the the upgraded engines, the compact SUV has likewise been fitted with some extra gear, and gets three new variants. The two new variants, the SX+ DCT Dual Tone and the SX Option MT Dual Tone come with a 1.0-Litre turbo Petrol Engine. While the new SX Option Dual Tone is available with the diesel engine.
The talking point of the 2020 Hyundai Venue BS6 is its new 1.5-liter, four-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine that is obtained from the Kia Seltos. The same engine replaces the outgoing Creta’s 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre units. However, unlike the Seltos, the Venue gets a detuned engine specifications. The 1.0-Litre petrol engine on the other hand is god enough to make 120hp/172Nm, while the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol unit churns out 83hp and 115 Nm of peak torque.

The car gets the same 1.0-Litre turbo variant as seen before

On the interiors, the new Venue gets highlights like automatic climate control, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, diamond cut alloy wheels, remote charging and Hyundai’s BlueLink network innovation. With this update, the base variant, E and mid-spec, S variants get an Alternator Management System (AMS) intended to increase battery life. The SX variant presently accompanies a tyre pressure monitoring system (TMPS), while the SX+ (automatic only) and SX(O) variants get an extra 12-volt electrical plug.

The BS6-compliant Hyundai Venue has started reaching dealerships and has prices starting from INR 6.70 lakh for the petrol variants, and IRN 8.10 lakh for the diesel versions (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The upgrade to BS6 standards has seen a hike in prices by Rs 20,000 and Rs 51,000 for the petrol and diesel powertrain respectively.
