Dimensions

The Hyundai Alcazar shares most of its underpinnings with the Creta and thus the dimensions of the Alcazar will be marginally different from that of the Creta. Having said that, the wheelbase of the car stands at 2760 mm. The wheelbase of the Alcazar is not just longer by 150 mm when compared to the Creta, but is also the longest in the segment.

Interiors

The Alcazar will be available with six as well as seven-seat configuration options which makes it a practical choice for many of the buyers when pitted against the Creta. The car also boasts first in the segment floor-mounted armrest in the middle row while the third row is also said to be extremely spacious.

Engine Options

Unlike the Creta, the Alcazar will be powered by a 2.0-L naturally aspirated petrol engine that churns out 159 hp and 192 Nm of peak torque output. it is worth noting that there will be no turbo petrol engine available with the vehicle at the time of the launch. The second engine options include the 1.5-L diesel engine that is also seen on the Creta. This engine delivers peak power and torque output figures of 115 hp and 250 Nm respectively. Both these engines will be available with a six-speed manual as well as an automatic gearbox.

Features

Just like other modern Hyundai vehicles, the Hyundai Alcazar too will be loaded with all the bells and whistles. For starters, the car will be available with a large touchscreen system that features Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, inbuilt navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, etc. In addition to this, the car is also said to be offered with other features like seat ventilation, wireless charging, steering mounted controls, cruise control, etc. The higher variants of the vehicle will be available with a large panoramic sunroof. Features like Rear AC vents and LED headlamps will also be offered with the Alcazar making it a decently equipped car when compared to the Creta and its other rivals.

Price

The Hyundai Creta price starts from Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) which makes it a highly value-for-money car in its segment. The Hyundai Alcazar price on the other hand is expected to be around one to two lakh rupees more expensive than the corresponding variants of the Creta. Once launched, the Alcazar will be rivaling against the cars like the MG Hector Plus and the new Tata Safari.
